The Au Sable River is only 5 miles away, where you can try everything from canoeing to flyfishing. This river has some of the best tubing you’ll find anywhere.

If you’re driving here from Canada, you can cross the border via the Blue Water Bridge (Sarnia-Port Huron), the Sault Ste. Marie International Bridge, the Ambassador Bridge, and the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel. The two Detroit-Windsor ports of entry and the Blue Water Bridge are equipped with NEXUS and Ready Lanes for an even faster border crossing.

If you’re flying, we’re 86 miles from Cherry Capital Airport (TVC) and 92 miles from MBS International Airport (MBS). MBS offers regular flights to and from Detroit and Chicago-O’Hare. TVC features year-round flights to and from Detroit, Chicago-O’Hare, Phoenix-Mesa, and St. Petersburg-Clearwater, plus seasonal flights to and from various major airports, including Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Denver, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York (LaGuardia and Newark), Philadelphia, and Washington (Dulles and National).

Activities

Hinchman Acres and Au Sable River Canoe Rental:
Rent a canoe or kayak on a warm summer day and take a relaxing 2.5 hour trip on the river.

Whispering Hope Ranch near Rose City:
Plan a horseback riding trip, just 30 minutes away.

Cedar Valley Golf Club:
This is a great 18 hole course that has all of the elements - woods, water, sand, and a great staff.
